Embracing Online Shopping
Soon after COVID-19 struck, our curated online marketplace, Remarkable Humans, came to life in an effort to support local businesses stay afloat, rebuild, and get noticed in amongst the masses of imported consumer products.
As bricks and mortar retailers were forced to close their doors, shoppers turned to online shopping more than ever before.
The sentiment to support local was strong and we couldn’t believe there was nowhere you could go to buy quality Australia Made all on one site – so we built it!
In The Media
We shared our story in the Australian Made Campaign feature in the Sydney Morning Herald/The Age. Here’s a snippet…
"Over countless hours of researching online, with scores of tabs open on hard-working laptops, a picture soon emerged. 'We were just going mad looking for Australian-made products, and the more we looked into it, there was no one place you could go to find and purchase them.'”
And so, Remarkable Humans was born…
If you’d like to recreate the styling-vibes featured in the article, start by checking out the work by talented photographer, James Harrison of Shot by Harro.
This piece, Young Wollies, depicts lambs drafted for marking.
James is an Australian Photographer living in Hay, south-central NSW. He has a passion for capturing life in and around the region from an unseen perspective.
Hay is one of Australia's major Merino wool growing areas, with around 26 studs found on the Riverina Plains. Beef cattle and cotton crops are also major industries.
His images will add a fresh element of beauty and a fabulous conversation starter to your art collection.
